Being a community bank means more than having an office in a certain location; it means a commitment to public service and social responsibility. Community organizations throughout Illinois are supported not only through charitable contributions, but also through staff participation as volunteers.
Employees at Citizens participate in over 500 community organizations, providing thousands of hours of community service each year - over 17,000 in 2009. They believe by sharing their time, talent and corporate strength, they can make a difference in the communities where they live and work.
During the school year, Citizens staff members don Junior Achievement hats and teach students in kindergarten through high school financial responsibility. Above, Mike Smith provides instruction to a Princeton class.
This commitment of the bank and staff to their customers and their communities is an ongoing tradition of Citizens First National Bank.
